JHSC Certification Part 2 - All Workplaces

Private delivery enables workplaces to provide training in the way that works best for them. This flexible option makes training groups of learners easy, allowing you to set the date, use example training scenarios based on your workplace, and choose how the training is offered. A knowledgeable health and safety consultant will deliver the training through your choice of medium: virtually or delivered in-person at your workplace.

Basics

This two-day course covers the second part of the training required for you to be a certified member of a workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). You can complete JHSC Certification Part 2 training with a knowledgeable instructor either in-person or online.

This Part 2 course addresses health and safety hazards and issues common to all workplaces. Learners will review how to effectively recognize, assess, control, and evaluate workplace hazards and prepare an action plan.

Combined with Part 1, this training leads to certification under the guidelines established by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD).

Complete your training in a sector-specific class

We also offer JHSC Part 2 training tailored to our specific sectors. These options provide examples and review hazards unique to various workplaces specific to their sectors, such as hospitals, first responder workplaces, and schools.

Who should take this course?

Any worker or JHSC members who want to become certified, regardless of any previous experience in health and safety, and who have completed JHSC Certification Part 1 training. Workplaces that regularly have 20 or more employees must ensure at least two personnel have completed JHSC Certification training.
