Workplace Wellbeing Consultant

Reporting to the Director, Workplace Wellbeing, the Workplace Wellbeing Consultant enables healthy and safe workplaces through research, innovative development and delivery of workplace wellbeing resources, products and services.

Using combined Workplace Wellbeing and OHS knowledge and experience, the workplace wellbeing consultant explores and understands client needs to inform the design and development of innovative solutions to help workplaces improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes and position PSHSA as a leader in delivery of client focused solutions.

 

Major Accountabilities

  • Use research-based methodologies to identify opportunities to create specialized wellbeing consulting or educational services to address unmet client needs.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of PSHSA products and programs, acting as a subject matter expert and mentor to team partners where required. 
  • Actively pursue strategic business opportunities by cultivating and supporting client and industry partnerships.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to develop and maintain client relationships related to workplace wellbeing consulting activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of the OH&S Act and related regulations, leading edge health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the province and other jurisdictions and PSHSA products and services.
  • Champion health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives in public sector workplaces to enhance wellbeing outcomes for clients with complex needs.
  • Mobilize knowledge through external forums (conferences, networking groups) and internal knowledge transfer.

 

Job Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a field related to workplace wellbeing.
  • Master’s degree in a related area of study is an asset.
  • Experience in an area of specialization related to workplace wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of standards and legislation related to workplace health, safety and wellbeing with focused knowledge of best practices for psychological health and safety.
  • Minimum 3 years of related job experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in product development is preferred.
  • Experience developing and facilitating training, knowledgeable about adult learning principles and capable of delivering training sessions at all levels.
  • Strong writing skills with experience tailoring communication strategy and approach to various audiences
  • Strong project management skills including ability to forecast client needs and anticipate upcoming project tasks. Able to manage and prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think critically and provide clear direction to guide clients. 
  • Works well independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Able to work with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, Excel and Customer Relationship Management systems.

Travel Required: YesSalary: $85,500 – $98,500
