Join Dr. Nick Carleton (University of Regina) and Dr. Renee MacPhee (Wilfred Laurier University) as they share the rates of suicide among the general Canadian population, and engage us in more specific discussion about recent research done through the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT) on suicidal ideation, plans, and attempts among public safety personnel in Canada. Dr. Carleton and MacPhee will define suicidal behaviours, discuss risk factors for suicide among Public Safety Personnel to help organizations potentially identify those most at risk. They will also share other work that CIPSRT has done and will be doing to support improved mental health among public safety personnel.
