Health & Safety Awareness for Supervisors & Workers

Health and safety is everyone’s business – from the employer to the worker. The intent of this program is to assist participants in understanding the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as the role they play in workplace health and safety.

Effective July 1, 2014, Regulation 297/13 requires health and safety awareness training for all workers and supervisors under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

PSHSA offers a selection of Health and Safety Awareness programs which satisfy the requirements outlined in the new regulation. Upon completion of the training, participants will understand the requirements of Regulation 297/13 and will be informed on how to recognize, assess and control workplace hazards and how to evaluate such controls. These courses are applicable across all sectors, and will provide certificates upon completion.
