This course will prepare Chief Fire Officials to develop fire safety planning knowledge required to ensure that the Fire Safety Plans that they approve meet the regulatory requirements, and thus contribute to fire safety in facilities housing vulnerable Ontarians.
What You'll Learn
The course is comprised of 7 learning modules and a Mastery Test.
Please note that you may challenge the Mastery Test without reviewing the modules if you feel that you are prepared. Successful completion of this course will depend on an achievement of 70% on the test. The Mastery Test may be repeated if necessary.
Who Is This Course For
This eLearning course is intended for municipal Chief Fire Officials who are responsible for approving fire safety plans for buildings containing Care Occupancies, Care and Treatment Occupancies and Retirement Homes.

Course Completion
Successful completion of this course is mandatory for Chief Fire Officials who are required to meet qualification provisions outlined in Subsection 1.2.4 of Division C of the Fire Code, O. Reg. 213/07, as amended.
Successful completion of the course will depend on an achievement of 70% on the test.
